The purpose of Arm restraints is to keep your hands from being flung over outside the window and avoiding any major damage to your hands. They are meant to go on your forearms to ensure your arms don't reach out the window; but still allows you to reach out to your gears and/or the instrument panel.
These arm restraints have snap hooks connecting the strap to the arm piece, where a D ring resides. This helps to:
1) put on the whole assembly and hook everything up at once - belts and restraints,
2) hook up the strap only when hooking up the belts, and then later snap the strap to the arm band,
3) hook up the straps while attached to the arm band, but not on your arms yet, then later slide the arm bands on over your hands and the arms.
This arm restraint is SFI 3.3 rated and available in Red color.
